Nokia 150, the first HMD Nokia phone, is revealed!
Nokia has confirmed their comeback for 2017, with HMD in charge of the Nokia brand. Everyone is excited about the new Nokia smartphone. However, the first Nokia phone under HMD is not a smartphone, but a feature phone, named Nokia 150!
HMD is the Finnish company that managed to get the rights to the Nokia brand earlier this year, after the Nokia-Microsoft deal ended. The company has planned to unveiled some Nokia devices in the coming MWC expo happening in March. One thing to note is that HMD also acquired the feature phone business of Nokia, and that is what HMD has decided to start with a Nokia phone. Very recently, they have announced the new Nokia 150, a feature phone as Nokia-ish as it can get!
There will be two versions of this Nokia phone: a normal and a dual-SIM one. The Nokia 150 price for both versions are as low as about $26, a very low price. HMD called this phone “affordable and durable”, and this phone truly gives off the feeling of the good old Nokia devices: reliable and user-friendly interface. Some of Nokia 150 specs are a 2.4″ display, a physical keyboard (who’s surprised?), Bluetooth, FM Radio, MP3 player, and a microSD slot. The phone is now charged with a standard microUSB cable. There is a VGA camera at the back, and the LED light you can use as a torch, as is Nokia’s tradition.
The battery of Nokia phones are always admired, and this one is no different. The talk time is 22 hours, and standby is 31 days for single SIM, and 25 for dual-SIM. These numbers are truly desirable in this modern age. The new Nokia 150 will be available in Europe, Asia and Africa next quarter. Oh, and you can play Snake Xenzia as well! For only $26, this phone sure lives up to Nokia’s reputation.
